Courses/Exams: Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to MA. Degree Course in Bharathanatyam under private study (Two Years) for the academic year 2009-2010.
Eligibility: A graduate in any discipline with 10 years of performance or 10 years of teaching or 10 years of teaching and performance prior or after the Bachelors degree or Diploma in Dance or any other Diploma as equivalent thereto and those who have completed 30 years of age as on 30th September year in which the candidate submits the application.

The minimum period of attendance is 30 days in an academic year.
Application procedure: Application can be had from the University Enquiry Counter in person or on payment of Rs.200/- by cash or by post on payment of Rs.250/- (Rs.50/- towards postage charge) by means of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai payable at Chennai.

Eligibility: For GDPD:
Candidates who have passed or who will appear in March 2010 for qualifying examinations under Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like AISSCE/IB/ICSE, etc are eligible for GDPD. Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years (relaxable by 3 years for reserved categories) as on June 01, 2010.

For PGDPD:
Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (including those who will be appearing for the qualifying examinations during the academic year 2009-1 0) are eligible for the separate test for PGDPD. Upper age limit for candidates is 27 years (relaxable by 3 years for reserved categories) as on June 01, 2010. Those applying for more than one programme should send in separate application forms. One cannot apply for more than two PG programmes.
Application procedure: Forms can be obtained from Academic Office, NID, Ahmedabad directly by sending a Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘National Institute of Design' payable at Ahmedabad for Rs.1500/- (Rs 750/- for reserved categories – SC/ ST / PH / OBC - who should also send in a copy of the relevant document from competent authority) and a self-addressed envelope of 9"x12" size with Rs 40/- stamps affixed.
