• Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines like humanities, social sciences, pure sciences and Commerce, from a recognizeduniversity/ deemed university/ institution recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

• Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration, considered equivalent to MBA by AIU.

B. Minimum Marks required:

60% marks or equivalent CGPA at PG level.

C. Work Experience:

At least 5 years full time work experience in executive or supervisory capacity after obtaining Master’s Degree.

D. Engineering students with 65% marks or equivalent CGPA at degree level with 5 years work experience in Academic/Academic Institution/ Research/ Corporate.

Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 25000/- will be available to students for period of 4 years, in addition there would an academic fee waiver. Research grants of Rs. 10,000/- per annum for Ph.D. Research.

For Part Time MBA:

Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from recognized University OR Equivalent pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU. Three Years Post qualification work experience in Supervisory / Executive Cadre as on 31st December 2009 is essential.

Eligibility Criteria for EPGDBM(Bangalore Campus):

Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from recognized University OR Equivalent pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Five Years Post qualification work experience in Supervisory / Executive Cadre as on 31st December 2009 is essential.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. But their admission will be subject to their fulfilling the eligibility norms as mentioned above.

Courses/Exams: Two year full time management programmes in MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR), MBA (Biotech) – 2010
Eligibility: For MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR):

(A) (i) A Bachelor's/Post Graduate Degree in any discipline of the University or a degree of any other University which has been recognised by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.

Provided that in the case of candidates having Bachelor's degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurmukhi script) and/ or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/ Persian/ Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognised by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together. (ii) A pass in the final examination conducted by the (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, and (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India. OR

(iii) AMIE Examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience. AND

(B) Minimum of 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST candidates) in each component of the Common Admission Test (CAT) viz., quantitative, logic & data interpretation, and verbal and/or any other component which may be added later at any stage to the CAT.

Selection Process : The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps :

Written Test

Applicants for the full-time programme are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT-2009) conducted by the IIMs.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The group discussion/personal interview will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, and New Delhi. The final selection to the programme would be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion, personal interview and work experience.

The following weightage will be given for each component of the selection criteria :

Written Test : 70%

Personal Interview : 20%

Group Discussion : 10%

An additional score upto 10 points for work experience will also be given for full-time work experience at managerial level in a professional organization.
